I attempted to make my second slider: Ain’t Gunna Thai Me Down — a turkey patty infused thai -centric spices covered in a cilantro lime chili aioli spread and topped off with mint leaves and minced carrots, all sandwiched between a delicious buttered hawaiian roll.
Here is the recipe for the patty, and I left out the fish sauce just because I am not too big of a fan. I thought the most interesting part was the peanut butter, even though you can’t spot it in the hodgepodge of flavors, it stuck out to me as an odd ingredient.
The aioli spread was simple and I figured with such a heavy asian flavor a acidic sauce was necessary. Take some mayo and add in cilantro, lime, garlic, and some thai chilis and you got yourself a fantastic spread.
Delicious, and they were a hit with all my brothers 🙂 Easy to make, and not to mention not too much prep. The worst part is waiting for the patties to cook, because you can smell all of the ingredients sizzling on the skillet… don’t judge everyone has a fatass chillin’ inside waiting to come out, mine is just more persuasive than yours 😉
